Suraj Sharma, who has never been in a movie before star is Ang Lee’s “Life of Pi”, the adaptation of author Yann Martell’s 2001 best-seller.

Sharma actually went to the auditions to provide moral support to his elder brother. Alas, no role for elder brother, but the Director saw something in Suraj Sharma and with some even saying his role has Oscar buzz written all over it. Fine. Whatever happened to the lead actors from “Slum Dog Billionaire”? Or, perhaps with the success of Psy, this finally is The Year Of The Asian.
