Why Music & The Beatles Matter

I once lived with someone who could never fathom my respect for the music of the Beatles and how I would listen to every piece of “new” music and compare it to anything from the Beatles catalogue.
Was this me being an old fart or realism slapping me across my face with a wet fish? It was the latter.
Try as I may today, I cannot understand this giant void that exists where the Beatles once lived, breathed and created music in its most “primitive” way- guitars, drums, a beat and voices.
Without more sermonizing, mainly listen to the video below, hear what I mean and wonder why this type of real and honest and creative music all produced in seven short years will never ever be duplicated and is still as fresh and relevant as ever.
