As we predicted, Darren Beadman’s “birthday gift” Hong Kong race-goers was something akin to an old wives’ tale.

Let’s get real here, chitlins:

Do you honestly think that jockeys and trainers don’t know their own birthdays and have winners according to script?

They will play with all this local hokum.

And wait.

Darren Beadman- from what memory serves us- did not even ride a place on Wednesday and with Thursday being his 46th birthday!

As we have said, his birthday gift to himself was winning the Panasonic Cup over the weekend on Captain Sweet.

His chances of a winner on Wednesday were sweet f*** all- just carrying the tickets of those who think (birthday) fairy tales come true.

Frankly, we believe that Beadman’s birthday pressies to himself will happen this weekend.
