We’re quickly becoming fans of the one-time cable television network – USA Network.
Why?
The prime-time shows launched in the last couple seasons have built up loyal audience and slowly getting ratings away from the usual suspects, ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox.
If you haven’t already, check these out:
WHITE COLLAR (Currently in Season 3)
Whiz-kid and convicted white-collar felon Neal Caffrey teams up with FBI agent Peter Burke , the man who took him down . Using Caffrey’s genius criminal mind as a brilliant counterfeiter, forger and grifter skills, this unlikely duo rein-in other white-collar criminals in NYC … Addictive stuff.
SUITS: (Currently in Season 1)
Manhattan’s best and sharpest corporate lawyer Harvey Specter takes on a protégé in brilliant college drop-out Mike Ross.
With his eidetic memory, Ross has the book smarts of a Harvard law grad and the street smarts of a hustler.
They become the “Good cop/Bad cop” of the world of corporate law.
Unlike the the older and hard-assed Specter, Ross emapthized with his clients and slowly makes his mentor show something approaching actual emotions and compassion.
ROYAL PAINS (Currently in Season 3)
The often hilarious exploits of the Hank Med concierge doctor service based in the wealthy beach community of East Hampton.
After his hospital’s billionaire benefactor dies in his care, down-and-out big city ER surgeon Hank Lawson moves to the Hamptons and slowly redeems his career with the help of his goofy Jerry Seinfeld lookalike younger brother Evan.
All well-worth streaming and watching compared to the re-runs being seen on many of the channels today and where some are still on the Second Season of “Desperate Housewives “.
Others are only now introducing viewers to “Hank Moody” and “Don Draper.”
Speaking of which, between the two, who has the best lines?
