Guys like Lefsetz are EXACTLY why the so-called music business is failing. Artists have lost their ‘value’ as they’ve gotten older. Things used to get better with age apparently – like good wine. Today, it’s not about that one great glass – but about how fast the manufacturers can churn out cheap spritzers. What ever happened to melody?

Lefsetz should be ashamed of himself. It’s one thing to come out with a critique, It’s another thing to know what you’re actually talking about.

never met bob, subscribed to his newsletter for about a week before i had enough of him. has nothing constructive to add and just doesn’t get it so i quickly unsubscribed. what has he ACCOMPLISHED?

this came out about a month ago, don’t know if you saw it..by those amazing Belgian DJ’s Soulwax (aka 2ManyDJs – they also have a cool soulwax app, check it out), a tribute to David Bowie starring the Belgian model Hannelore Knuts as Dave…save an hour to watch the whole thing:

A-Ha…Lefsetz got you to talk about him…Really, you should now better. He has never and will never mean anything in the big picture whereas David Bowie always will. Lefsetz knows nothing about the “deal” and the process that went into Bowie making new music. His view is smug. Isn’t it he who is trying to stay relevant? Bowie is making art—as always.

Anyway, I like the track, for what that’s worth.
