The new way of looking at horse racing

The Fast Track Guru & The Valley Of Enlightenment

Yes, today is the first Happy Wednesday evening and I think I will take it easy and see how things go.

But that’s what I always say.

Looking at Race 1, I’ll stay out of it and see how the track is riding though I like Number 11 – Descartes to place – and 5-11 being a reasonable QP bet.

Race 2 is a bit of a lottery but when Prebble gets on Rocket and Gold for Dennis Yip alarm bells go off.

Having said this, I am hoping that new trainer Richard Gibson gets off the mark with Fantastisch and which will be ridden by Olivier Doleuze.

With Greg Cheyne and “Ollie” having been advising Gibson about his horses and racing in Hong Kong and Cheyne having done work on this horse, it’s interesting to see Doleuze on it on race day.

This will be “Watch” race and I’ll be watching The Weathering perform and then those Uranus boys.

Why don’t they serve some samosas and chicken tikka at the Beer Garden?

Would go down a treat with a Kingfisher Beer.

Race 3, I am pretty sure I’ll have a bet and box 1,3,6 and 8 as a boxed Quinella.

It’s not often that Douglas Whyte rides for trainer Gary T K Ng and think their combination on Lucky Red has a strong chance though the one I really like is Lifeline Elite.

It’s drawn well and jockey Greg Cheyne is a little underrated and can only do the best with what scraps are thrown this way.

Lifeline Elite is not a scrap. It has trialed very well and could easily win this.

Race 4 is a toughie though I like 2 and 5 as a QP bet.

Race 5 could be the value bet: Great Renown will be way under the odds as will My Way which is rated as high as I think it can go.

I’ll be leaving both out and looking at Numbers 1,2,3,4 and 8 – especially, the 4 and to be ridden by Matty Chadwick.

Again, Greg Cheyne is on a very good value horse in Number 3 – Nordic Star. It will NOT win but can add value to Tierce and Triple Trio bets.

Race 6 is a good Quinella race- 4,5,12 and a WATCH on Green Zone – number 7.

Race 7, Crown Witness will be under the odds and can be beaten so be careful. I would prefer to look at Number 4 – Great Achievement.

As for Race 8, I cannot look beyond Jumbo Gold as a banker and with 2,6 and 12 for the Quinella legs.

Have a Happy Wednesday.
