At the age of 81, stable owner and dabbler at the track, one Fred Astaire married America’s champion jock, 35 y.o. Robyn Smith.

She’d knocked back a few proposals and it seemed horses were her main interest until Fred (who took up skateboarding late in life) lit a flame deep down inside.
Fred’s two kids (about the same age as Robyn) were dead against it.
But, hey love conquers all.
It seemed like a fairly happy union. They both loved the track.
