READY FOR A JAZZY FEELING AT TUESDAY’S HAPPY VALLEY RACES?

There’s plenty of action on Tuesday- NOT Wednesday- at Happy Valley which can make a few people instant millionaires and have them singing If I Were A Rich Man from Fiddler On The Roof.

There are two huge jackpots to be won- the Triple Trio and Six Up jackpots. It’s also the opening night of the Happy Wednesday Oktoberfest plus everything and more that happens in all the different venues and, of course, all the action on the eight race program.
With racing taking place on the B course- courses A,B and C usually favor certain horses- we see Richard Gibson’s Jazzy Feeling and Highest Acclaim trained by Caspar Fownes clash with each other for the third time.
Olivier Doleuze is on Jazzy Feeling whereas new boy and lightweight rider Karris Teetan who has quickly built up a strong legion of local racing fans, rides for Fownes for the first time.
Both have won one race apiece against each other on the B course and over the 1200 metres they again tackle on Tuesday.
At the end of the day, it’s all going to come down to barrier draws, luck in running, the fine motor skills of the jockeys involved and if the track might favor leaders as it did last Wednesday.
We are leaning towards Highest Acclaim- but leaning more heavily towards the German sausages, Bavarian beers, cheeses and some music direct from Munich plus looking at the rides of Andreas Suborics and Andrash Schutz, the only German trainer in Hong Kong and what he might have entered as an omen bet.
