He’s nicknamed The Magic Man and, as Hong Kong race-goers have quickly realized, it’s for good reason as Brazilian jockey Joao Moreira has pulled more than a few winning rabbits out of his sombrero since arriving here in October.

Last Wednesday, while music was rocking the Valley, Moreira was rocking things on the track by riding four winners in the eight race card including taking out the January Cup with a great front-running ride.

In the meantime, with Moreira having quickly conquered riding around the tight Happy Valley track, he, again, must be followed on Wednesday as he can succeed where others have failed- like magic.
