MORE MOORE IN 2014?‏

The January 1 meeting is always an important and auspicious one as it means getting the new year off to a winning start and every loyal and casual race-goer will have a throw at stumps on the first race of 2014.

Of course, the “serious” racing takes place later in the day with the eleven race card having a few all-weather races which are always tricky affairs.

The showpiece race is The Chinese Club Challenge Cup where trainer John Moore has entered his usual army of runners to tackle every Cup race- four runners including Charles The Great and Sterling City.

With the former owned by former beauty queen Michele Reis, we can at least be certain of some real glamor at the races should Charles The Great be the first past the post.
