This will be a very important weekend for trainer John Moore.
On Saturday, he has his Mighty High running in the coveted Caulfield Cup in Melbourne.
Drawn barrier one and with Darren Beadman in the saddle, the top weight has an outstanding chance of placing.
Can it win?
If it can beat the very good December Draw and which will be ridden by Michael Rodd, who rode in Hong Kong a few years back.
On Sunday, it’s the Sa Sa Ladies Purse Day in Hong Kong and Moore and Beadman will rush back for this very important and fashionable racing day in the calendar.
In fact, the Sa Sa Ladies Purse is a race Moore has won twice in the past five years – and both times with Viva Hong Kong.
Moore has Destined For Glory entered for the race and we all know how much John Moore loves winning Cup races.
He wants to win them all and Destined For Glory which needed its first run for this season when close behind the brilliant National Cup winner Ambitious Dragon.
It was a run which screamed BACK ME THE NEXT TIME.
Moore also comes double-handed in this race with Jacobee (Tim Clark) also entered.
And Jacobee is no slouch.
The hardest for them to beat? Fat Choy Ooh La La and with Douglas Whyte deferring his suspension to ride at this meeting.
With Ooh La La in its name, it could well be the omen bet for the day.
As for John Moore, yes, this could well be one of the most important weeks for the very good trainer and his dream of capturing a big Cup win in Oz and another Cup win in Hong Kong.
