He’s known as “The Cups King” by the local racing media which, for reason, makes us think of bras and D Cups.

Anyway, “Cups King” that is trainer John Moore is triple-handed in the National Day Cup race on October 1 with Xtension, Admiratioon and Destined For Glory.

At its first run this season, Destined For Glory ran a very respectable third for Douglas Whyte over a distance which both jockey and trainer agreed was too short for it.

1400 meters was what the team felt would be its best distance and which is what it gets on the first.

The other Moore runners?

One can never count them out as the trainer has had a monopoly on this race for the past three seasons.

We’ll tip Destined For Glory to win and with the main dangers coming from the stables of Tony Cruz and Caspar Fownes.
