There’s been an eerie silence surrounding FashionTV- once giving the perception of being an iconic brand in the area of soft-core porn and the new Penthouse with founder Michel Adam being the new Bob Guccione or even the new Hugh Hefner.
Michel Adam is a big man who, until over a year ago, lived a very big lifestyle, thanks to his Fashion TV brand- staying in the Presidential Suites of five-star hotels, hanging out with the world’s more dubious movers and shakers, striking deals like they were going out of style, self-promoting galore and with a management team that were always on that cusp of being above board and below board.
Nothing ever really added up, and having had numerous meetings with them, it was a great deal of talk, but FTV wanting everything for nothing.
Today, suppliers and one-time partners say that the channel is dead along with all those plans to open up Fashion TV Clubs, FTV vodka, FTV merchandising etc.
Once traveling to Asia almost twice a year with its traveling soft-core porn crew, even the FTV cruise liner sees to have hit the rocks whereas all the plans for the brand in this region remain just that: Plans- and plans that are up the air.
