Lee Dewyze was just dropped by RCA and which probably explains why he’s spending so much time in Asia.
He’s trying to stretch those 15 minutes of fame.
I started to nod off around 45-seconds into this song.
John Mayer better bring out a new record soon.
How many remember he won Season 9 of “American Idol”?
Or remember Crystal Bowersox?
What’s happened to her?
Yes, yes, I know she’s got a new set of teeth.
Musically? Not much.
Then again, haven’t we heard this kinda music in way too many bars?
It’s good in that environment, but, away from it? Nah.
And what’s happened to Casey James? Taylor Hicks?
Katherine McPhee? David “Enchilada” Archuleta?
David Cook? Kris Allen? Even Adam Lambert?
Meanwhile, despite all the hype, “X Factor” has even less ratings than “The Voice”.
Isn’t it oh-so-Bjork-type quiet out there?
Not a peep from Simon Cowell or Publicist Max Clifford.
Ahhhh, yes, Cowell’s trying to flog his latest fiancée to the media.
The vultures must be hovering above asking questions.
As for the disinterest in these television talent show contestants, well, surely, it has to do with the fact that without the television shows, they have nothing really going for them?
Their 15 minutes of fame are over and it’s now back to MySpace.
There are also the backroom music industry politics to consider.
With the winners of “American Idol” originally signed to Sony when the music company was the show’s music partner, they won’t be interested in carrying these signings today.
Not when they are now music partners with “X Factor” and with “Idol” in bed with Universal Music.
And the first music product outta the barriers for UMG’s Interscope – “Idol’s Pia Toscano – has flopped with her first recordings.
Without the television show and where viewers could, well, see her, she simply does not have the musical chops and her debut single is vapid.
It is formulaic crap.
The video is vampy campy nonsense and almost embarrassing to watch.
Perhaps they should have oiled her legs a tad more.
After al, this seemed to be the focus. And her hair.
Yes, the video has had over 5 MILLION views on You Tube.
But as one fan wrote, “Why hasn’t this charted?”
Hello?
It’s crap.
Less is more seems to be the order of the day.
Come on, THREE television singing talent shows?
Are there even enough contestants to go around?
The ONE singer whom I have seen and heard and think has something is Dia Frampton who didn’t win “The Voice”.
Who cares?
This girl is the complete package.
And she can really sing.
Am in love with this girl.
Sorry, Gwyneth, you must be heart-broken.

Even in a small place like Hong Kong, familiarity is breeding contempt.
No one wants to see/hear the same (very) old singers performing over and over anymore.
It’s overkill.
It’s also a waste of time, money and space.
Remember the old adage; always leave the audience wanting more?
Now it seems to be, flog a dead horse to death and leave audiences saying, “Enough already.
“How many times can we show our support by listening to you sing the same old crap?”
