Just when the Hong Kong racing world had thought Zac Purton has forged a partnership with trainer Dennis Yip just as the Whyte-John Size combination has become a permanent one, we are suddenly seeing the Durban Demon riding most of the better horses from the stable of last season’s champion trainer.

Are these the decisions of the trainer or the owners?

On Sunday, Whyte rides All You Wish in the prestigious Kwangtung Handicap Cup and Jack’s Gem for Yip.

The former looks to be a future champion and there is no way that Whyte will lose the ride unless he has a brain freeze and messes up.
