When Captain Dave writes to us, we take it all in.
Yes, Dave A Stewart lives and breathes creativity.
Sometimes, we have no idea how he gets through a “Dave Day.”
We still think his and Annie Lennox’s “Sweet Dreams” was waaaay ahead of its time and the most ripped off song in the world.
Dave has always got something new happening.
Always.
Of course, he has Superheavy with Joss Stones, Damien Marley Mick Jagger and AR Rahman.
He dropped us the note below last night.
We know these kids from when they were in Hong Kong.
They’re good.
Check them out.
Personally, we would love Dave- and, or Bob Ezrin- to work with China’s Lonely China Day.
These guys from Beijing are GREAT!
Still, having a name with clout like Dave Stewart work with a duo from “tiny Hong Kong” is good for the city and good for music in this city where very little of note happens to anyone.
Yeah, yeah, there are the gigs.
And then what?
Nada.
