ADMIRATION FOR HORSE GALORE

As predicted, that reliable “quinella horse” horse – Horse Galore – didn’t let the team down at last night’s all-weather meeting at Shatin.
Ridden by Zac Purton and though drawn Barrier 10, the Me Y S Tsui-trained galloper ran a creditable second to the John Moore-trained Admiration.
Admiration is truly a classy horse and when we saw the horse in the paddock, our eyes popped out: The horse looked fit, ready and rippling fit.
Admiration is an appropriate name for the horse.
It might have been running on the all-weather track for the first time, but this was a Class 1 horse running against Class 3 horses and treated its rivals with contempt.
Darren Beadman had more that a little horsepower under him when they crossed the line.
One didn’t have to be a fly on the wall to know what Beadman was telling trainer John Moore after the race: “That was just too easy.”
As for Horse Galore, keep following it – especially when an apprentice is on board and brings its weight down a bit.
