Aaron Kwok Starts To Horse Around

Adding some glamour to the Owners’ ranks of Hong Kong horse racing will be award-winning singer-actor Aaron Kwok who was granted a permit to import and race his own horse this season.

Possibly better known for his love of another type of four-wheeled beast with names like Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini, the Golden Horse Award winning Actor has been an avid horse racing enthusiast for over 25 years.  As for his cars, these add up to quite a collection: a Ferrari F50, F512M, F355 GTS, F360 Modena, Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Lamborghini Diablo SE30, Mercedes-Benz SL600, Mercedes CLK DTM, Porsche 911 Turbo.Other cars include the Enzo Ferrari, a Carbon version Pagani Zonda F, Lamborghini Reventon Roadster, Lamborghini Murciélago, Gallardo, Porsche 996 GT3, Nissan GTR.[19]

The Brand Ambassador for Kent & Curwen, the always impeccably-dressed and the “Dorian Gray of the Hong Kong Entertainment world”, the “forever young” Kwok’s new four legged acquisition is certain to create huge interest when it steps out for the first time.

From what we hear, it’s a “good one” and we think we know which trainer will be in charge of it.

Here’s what we’re tipping: Aaron Kwok won’t be the only local celebrity to own a horse.

More and more, horse racing in Hong Kong, at least, is attracting a new- and younger breed of racegoer- and which will, naturally, pave the way for a new generation of local horse owner. And vice versa.

It beats the hell outta spending hours playing mahjong which, to us, is about as exciting as watching paint dry.
