Jockey Darren Beadman aka “The Dazzler” is one of the best riders Australia has produced.
Ask a fellow Aussie jockey like Tim Clark and he’ll tell you how much in awe he is of this legendary jockey…
And though he celebrates his 46th birthday on Thursday, he remains timeless and ageless.
When it comes to winning those big races, there is nothing better than experience.
Beadman has all the experience and guile in the world.
Of course, for decades, Hong Kong racing fans have always looked at the birthdays of jockeys, trainers and, sometimes, even owners, as a sign that this means them banging home a winner or two.
If life and winning on races were only that simple!
But, as always, with news of Beadman’s 46th birthday already out there, racing fans are studying his book of rides.
On which horse or horses will Beadman be giving them- and himself- a birthday present?
Perhaps he already gave himself this present by winning the Panasonic Cup on Sunday aboard Captain Sweet?
On Wednesday, Beadman has only four rides- two for John Moore and the other two for Danny Shum.
Danny Shum is on fire these days and with his stable scoring a treble on the weekend.
Also, the Shum-Beadman combination has been firing on all cylinders whenever they get together.
One of the biggest tips we have heard so far this season is Shum admitting that when he has a horse primed to win, he tries to get Beadman to ride it.
We say no more except for this:
Happy Birthday, Dazzler!
